Full House for French Bingo

To celebrate European National Languages Day on the 26th of September, the French department in St. Brigid’s College held its annual French Bingo. €60 prize money was on offer and all first and second year pupils participated. Bingo caller Ms. Fogarty read the numbers quickly in French and all students were put to the test to keep up. Ms. Ivers checked and verified the winning numbers and dished out the cash. All students thoroughly enjoyed the event; we would like to say a special thank you to Mr. Power for his generous contribution of the prize fund

St. Brigid’s French Club

St Brigid’s French Club kicks off again in January. The French Club is open to all first and second year students who hope to improve their French through various fun activities. We will get the ball rolling with a showing of the Oscar winning French film Les Choristes. The film tells the story of a new teacher who starts a new job at a boys' boarding school who works to positively affect the students' lives through music. Popcorn and drinks will be part of the fun; we will look forward to seeing you there
